Help !!! I am a battered husband !!
For the past two weeks I have been "MALLED " daily.
unmercifally, from one place to the other with no respite.
My only reason for being there in the first place was the
fact that I was elected the designated shlepper. My back is out.
my muscles ache and my wallet sadly depleted. The last straw was
today, whilst in a Dollar store ( the only place where I can afford
to shop) a customer was haggling over a price.
Tonight, when all are asleep, I will immerse ( not drown )
myself in "Walden Pond ", a simpler place, when names like
Home Depot, Filene's, Sam's Club, K-Mart were unheard of.
Tomorrow, I shall arise early and hie myself into the deep woods
before anyone discovers that things don't fit or of the wrong
color or fabric...
I don't know if this is the proper thread to post this on...
but I don't much care and if my spelling, punctuation or grammar
is out of order...tough....and any split infinitives, if there
be any, will remain split!!!
If Y2k shuts down all store computers and if the banks do not
open...so be it !!! At this stage, I would welcome it.
