UK: Ebookers.com buys Swedish Internet travel company.

LONDON, Dec 27 (Reuters) - British online travel company ebookers.com said on
Monday it had agreed to buy STT Airways AB, a Swedish Internet travel firm
with total sales of $26 million in 1999.

STT is a holding company whose subsidiary Bijettakuten AB
(www.bijettakuten.se) is one of Swden's leading online discounted fares
agencies, and the acquisition also includes a business-to-business wholesale
tradaitional travel company and a travel company selling to corporate
businesses.

The purchase price was not disclosed, but ebookers.com said in a statement
that it had now spent $6 million on acquisitions since its IPO on the Nasdaq
and Neuer Market in November 1999 - two in Germany and one each in Finland and
Sweden.

The Swedish deal "further consolidates e.bookers.com's strategic position and
infrastructure as Europe's leading online travel specialist," the company
said.

STT had Internet sales of some $3.5 billion in 1999, and such sales are
growing rapidly, with annualised sales for the last two months at
approximately $5 million.

Sweden has the third highest Internet penetration of any country in the world,
at some 30 percent, and ebookers.com said the buy also gives it access to
another $22.5 million of sales capable of being converted into Internet sales.
