I disagree to some extent, the news is not entirely insignificant. Existing shareholders as well as those still on the fence will be waiting for BPI to show their stuff with expected (and predicted) revenue increases. The news release says that this new software release will fulfill backorders for existing orders from channel partners. By getting this out before Christmas it means that they will book revenues into fourth quarter of this year instead of booking them in first quarter of next year. It will go towards the bottom line in making the numbers for the final year-end 1999 look better than they would have otherwise. A small distinction perhaps, but one that I believe will translate into a better reception from shareholders and potential shareholders alike when the year-end numbers are released.
