Expect blow-out earnings to be reported for 4th quarter 1999. Also, expect stock to rise to 115-125, either slowly until then or rapidly just before. I believe that earnings will be reported January 25, 2000, but have heard otherwise, e.g., January 20, 2000. Last October, EMC fell on earnings report, two cents below whisper number, but this time the opposite will occur. Re: the ICM civil lawsuit: I am now retired after 30-years practice as an intellectual property attorney. It is my considered opinion that IBM's lawsuit is bunk. Any intellectual property action that can not be cogently described in one simple sentence is not worth bringing, except to annoy the defendant -- hint!
