GV, Just from checking the anecdotal evidence from the people I speak with and reading stuff like the above, my guess is that Win2000 will stem some of the market share loss that NT 4.0 had been experiencing in the server area to the various Unix flavors, including Linux, but it won't take any share back. Unless IT managers being able to save 50% to 80% (WAG) of their money by switching away from Sun becomes an overwhelming factor. Gee, who wouldn't want to save money like that. Also, there are several alternatives coming up, not the least of which is the Unix, or Unix variant, or Linux, on Intel one, which is also very cheap compared with Sun. A matrix of all the HW/SW platform possibilities would be a good thing to refer back to (sort of thing to 'leave on the whiteboard'). Tony
