Jubak makes it clear that Nortel is a reactionary force, responding to the aggressive thrusts of the better managed, better positioned and more formidable competitor, Cisco Systems. Doesn't Telecomic sound just like the COMS people who used to spout his sort of detritus on this thread? That is until they too were run over by the Cisco juggernaut. No wonder it was reported that Roth hated Chambers - who can better see what's happening. But hate and envy can't defeat Cisco. You'd think they appreciate being pushed out of their collective stupor by Cisco, which has raised their profile and their market cap.
