Taken from Briefing.com:

"LUNAR CORP. (LUNR) 19 3/4 -9 1/2. Stock of developer of products for the diagnosis and monitoring of osteoporosis and other diseases is dropping after the company said that it did not expect significant sales of its new bone densitometer immediately after it brings the product to market in fiscal 1998. The company also reported fiscal 3rd qtr net earnings of $3.277 million or $0.36 a share, a penny shy of the First Call mean estimate. In the year-ago period, the company earned $2.588 million or $0.29 a share. Revenue rose 15% to $19.857 million from $17.287 million on continuing strong demand for the DPX-IQ product line. In early April, the company announced its new small densitometer, PIXI, that uses dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry for precise estimation of bone mineral density in the heel and forearm. PIXI measurements take only 5 seconds, which is 60 times faster than conventional peripheral densitometers. However, upsetting investors is the fact that the company does not expect major sales right away, although the company declined to say just what the company expected in terms of sales volume when it does start to sell the new product. Shares are currently trading at a new 52 week low, having easily surpassed the previous low of $26 1/4 with today's price drop. Shares have traded as high as $50 a share during the same 12 month time frame."
