Derek: You man be right, but Intel still scares me. Microsoft is also an extremely powerful firm that can basically take programs and technologies and essentially copy them with impunity (i.e. Stacker, Netscape Navigator, Java, MAC OS, et al).
$14 billion in cash between them is pretty formidable too.
