You know Glenn - I don't know. I have thought all along that some items like books have a value-add component from the
web so having the absolute cheapest price is not imperative. Those lines can be profitable - books, wine, some high-end
electronics for example. But whether auto parts or pet food will ever be profitable... I'm not sure. I do believe one
category killer for each retail space will survive or maybe two but not 10 like we have now... ex. sports: fogdog, dsports,
sportsauthority, etc etc

We agree completely. The real issue is that the cheapest price is not what counts in the long run.
