Microsoft packages Internet Explorer and the Microsoft Network with its operating system. This is anticompetitive. Obviously, many indviduals that start their computers for the first time are automatically going to use IE and MSN without ever trying, or caring to try, products from competitors. Predatory and Dumping strategies are illegal. Microsoft is using these strategies in an attempt to push Netscape out of the market. They are also trying to push out service providers and online networks. AOL must advertise heavily. Microsoft doesn't have to. Their online service comes with every operating system.

Lets not forget Microsoft purposely designed the initial version of Win 95 to "lock out" competing online networks. They also conveniently "borrowed" technology from Stac (Stacker), Netscape (Navigator, including the look and feel), Sun (Java), Apple (MAC OS), and others. Microsoft will wait for Netscape to release its next generation of products (including push technology) and conveniently borrow it for its own use. If Microsoft could have its Money program boot up with every new computer it would.

When Goodyear makes a tire, it works equally well on all cars. Office doesn't work as well on the MAC. Also, Microsoft is trying to create a proprietary technology in every single area of technology. It really is a joke how they (and INTC) want to set the standads for High Definition TV. Microsoft also recently bought WebTV. Whats next, DirectTV.
