It has been said that support was made to be broken. The corollary in a rising market is: bull markets climb walls of worry. If you view the recent top in the context of a 200 year bull market (1787-1997), then these support levels should provide only minor comfort in the midst of a collapse. Potential for a good bounce may come from around 5000, 4200 and 3700. The latter figure has been projected for late May, though that may have been adjusted upward by now. I won't go so far as to recommend positions, but I can tell you that I am not long the major averages.

Best regards
