Brian, it would seem we have some old fashioned profit taking from the momentum players, some year end evening up of positions, some selling before the possible after year end rush to take profits, and of course pressure from the short sellers, aided by a healthy injection of doubt...that horrible, insidious, nagging creature that makes an unseasoned investor ...(and some seasoned investors with any sense) weak in the knees. On one hand, one would think the advisors and others would have done their DD..but I've seen instances where that isn't the case..Sculley with Spectrum..is one that leaps to mind..On the other hand, the number of advisors and others that have come on board should help alleviate concern from that possibility. Yes, the program was tested on a multi-processor system, and purportedly passed with flying colors. It would bolster confidence immensely, if they would post the benchmark tests from that trial. In regard to the earlier history, if memory serves, and sometimes it doesn't take to servitude as well as it used to..I seem to remember the early enthusiasm about massive parallel computing, and the subsequent turning away from same..a number of companies suffered as a consequence. So their failure to field a commercial product at that time might not be so damning..they had plenty of other credible company. The trials and tribulations of start-up companies..especially cutting edge, are well documented..they don't always succeed the first time..the hardy endure and sometimes prevail in their endeavors the second or third time around. Perhaps this will be the case with ANTS. Only time will tell. It probably will have to come down to the final benchmark tests to determine exactly what we have. Hopefully, it will be as expected. The company cannot be expected to expose their entire technology to scrutiny; to do so would be fool hardy, and give a leg up to the competition. In the meantime, the shorters will short, the longs will hold their breath or sell, and the folks waiting for the results to invest will wait. Life goes on..into the new year ahead. Best, Savant
