< will be on vacation at New Years (Las Vegas), so will not need to fill up my car tank.>

Lucky you weren't goung to Palm Springs for New Years. Looks like a lot of flight delays.

RADAR SYSTEM STILL NOT WORKING
PALM SPRINGS - The Palm Springs International Airport is still without a radar system. The airport reported a few technical glitches last week, but now officials have completely shut down the system and are having to start from scratch and completely rebuild.

Officials do not know exactly when the radar will be up and running again. They are trying to have the system ready by the New Year?s travel crunch.

This is really weird. I thought the FAA has software that ALL airlines use. It must be some new hardware causing problems.

Guess a lot of people will be flying into LAX and then driving to Palm Springs.
