gdichaz: re: ARMHY and GK I appreciate your response to the submission of ARMHY to GK list. I see that you are drawing a parallel of ARMHY to INTC(a mere 40% performer this year, gggg). I don't think so. ARMHY is a fabless chip design firm; it's business model is, IMHO, superior to INTC. In fact, just today I read that INTC's new Wireless division is touting its StrongARM chips, along with DSPs CDMA chips for a total wireless solution. Remember when Qualcomm wins, ARMHY wins, but ARMHY wins no matter who makes the ASIC. On other thing(and I'll let this go until the accounting at the end of next year, gggg). ARMHY will be into Automobiles worldwide next year. Yes, potential for up to 20 ARM chips per auto. GameBoys, Playstations, Diskdrive controllers, MP3; you name it, ARMHY will sell it's designs. This is not just a cellphone/handheld phenomenon, Chaz. We can call it a King, maybe a future Gorilla, or nothing at all; the bottom line is that this company will continue to amaze and provide profit to those who pay attention. ARM investors already know. Next year, others will too.ggggg Regards, and my best wishes for success in 2000. James P.S.: did Franq put you up to this? I know he's trying to close off the loophole with his usual oblique aplomb, ggggg. |
