Dear RS, Tell your brother that he is living in a dream world if he thinks that sealing his kids teeth will eliminate the possibility of cavities, and certainly will not eliminate the need for tooth brushing. I personally do not do sealants in my practice, because of the possibility of sealing some anaerobic bacteria (those bacteria that do not need oxygen to survive) within the pits and fissures of the teeth. I have seen many young patients with sealants on their teeth, and extensive decay underneath the sealant. Also, sealants do not work on the smooth surfaces of the teeth, particularly those that can only be cleaned by flossing. If you have any other "dental" related questions, please "private message" me, since this subject board really should be about the company, and not clinical questions unrelated to Enamelon.

Sincerely,
RFH
