<Is there a little store nearby?> That's an xllnt. thought. Is jeff or someone checking? {I saw his reply re: the 2 stores; but not any indication if someone is going to check whether SJ was at either of them that night.)

Another thought is: SJ would likely have her checkbook if she intended on buying food or drink to take to a residence --- {e.g. so that JDvD would have something in addition to the aged burrito.}
.

Unrelated to the above; but OnT:

It has been discussed whether Suzanne Jovin may have been confidentially meeting someone related to her investigation and/or documentation for her thesis. Even though her work to that point in time was [as reported by Jeff] taken from previously published material, given the sensitivity of the subject, to me, that type of meeting remained quite possible.

FWIW, I have reversed that thought; the reason being that her thesis was "due" on Dec. 8th. On the night she was murdered, Dec. 4th., there were only 4 days remaining before it was due. In all likelihood, she was beyond the investigation and data collection stages, and was making the final revisions for submission.

Time constraints now; but, ASAP, will reply to Jeff and offer another theory. Those of you who are still interested in helping Jeff solve this crime are encouraged to submit alternative theories and scenarios --- with only moderate risk that Jeff will "bite your head off" for daring to disagree with him. :)
