<Maybe the only problem is that people are "hoarding" and stocking up because of all the Y2K hype. Maybe some people will not be able to get their needed medication, because the Y2K fears have caused some people to act irrationally.

Are you implying that having an extra 1-2 months of medication ... is irrational??

In my "old" life, I used to travel a lot. So, for me, it was standard to have and extra 1-2 months of prescription drugs on hand. I never considered it "hoarding". It was just something that I did.

Out of curiosity, Jim. What amount of extra medication ... do you consider "hoarding"?

I have 2 months extra of prescription drugs. My sister with the thyroid problem has 1 month. Mom got 3 months for my dad with glaucoma. My brother-in-law with diabetes and heart problem has none ... because the drugs were too expensive. [Though I hope tomorrow they finally get more.]

I have an aunt who requires MAJOR surgery. She's been so reassured by all this warm, fluffy stuff from the government and the media ... that she cancelled her surgery at Cleveland Clinic this past month, so she could spend time with her family over Christmas ... and rescheduled her surgery for DECEMBER 31!!!

I hope to G*d that you and Cheeky are right.

I'd REALLY like to understand this bit about "hoarding" drugs. One month is "hoarding". Two months is "hoarding"??

Cheryl
