Ron,

Looking forward to the samples...thanks!

I agree with your thoughts about the new product introduction stages. AQUA1 would have established the price range for the product well before it made its first presentation. That's not to say that they couldn't adjust it if needed (hopefully upward!)

The retailer, typically (I understand Walmart has been accused of selling at or below cost in the past in order to eliminate competion) will not contribute any profit to the sales or promotional price of a product. Almost all promotions/sales are manufacture driven. They don't go for "if I deduct $2 per case will you reduce your selling price by another $2? It's always the manufacturer who reduces the price, pays for the pictorial ad and the expense of new shelf tags, "shelf talkers" and other promotional material (at least with the big retailers)

Gross profit will only decrease if promotional expenses outstrip planned allowances.

A larger product line & mix results in more shelf space and a greater chance for consumers to see and purchase the product.

A steady increase in share price will be nice to see. If it bolts upward, well, I like that too... Hurray for the good volume is interest building?

Doug
