Difference of opinion.

Xing is a good growth company in the right market. It is not just WANT to go into CDMA but already got Central Government funding/investment. One should check it out in their web site to see how fast they grew in the past and their plans(The Chinese version of their web have more details).

Xing will not be the only CDMA company in China. you can bet their will be at least one in Beijing and one in Shanghei. But Xing will be one and they seem to have better management in business to support future growth both in China and international market. Xing understands the important of QA, Distribution and support services which is not so for many large Chinese Company. They have established a vary market oriented distribution network in China.

I would not compare Xing with other Telecoms in China. That is like comparing Qualcom with MCI and ATT. It is not the same for offering the service as a PTT vs a product manufacturor. Doesn't Qualcom only make chips early on and than only moved to phones......

CDMA is not a new technology. Even the broadband standard is firm. CDMA is a growth area in the wireless communications market and it is the company that have good business plans that will profit. I think Xing is one of such company. Its established sales infrastructure on phones and cell phones in China, will support its growth in China moving into the CDMA/digital world. Its availability of cheaper labor and focus in QA/support will make it an international competitor.
