Dear Tony: I didn't realize this was happening. OTOH, did you take a demographics poll large enough to ensure it was us "crazy excalifornians"? I drove 9,000 miles throughout the entire West. Everywhere I went from DESERT to Mountains realtors were AMAZED at how people from California were driving up the prices!! I spent one night in a rathole of a place in the middle of a GodForsaken desert and over drinks with a Realtor had him tell me how these "Crazy Y2K types from California" were paying ridiculous prices for basically worthless desert land. The story goes on and on. The overinflated Calif. real estate is effecting values throughout the west. I was in a beautiful place that 10 years ago didnt even have a paved road into town, now a 2 lane road, no hospital etc etc and a building lot was $500,000!!! JDN
