Going with the theory that the contents of her paper had something to do with her demise, as the deadline drew nearer, then so did the 'problem' it may or may not have contained. Someone perhaps thought it contained damaging material, and acted accordingly; whether it actually contained such material is immaterial (how's that play on!). There are many freaks out there who are so one-dimensional that they blow everything out of proportion.
Just a thought.
