george, Yes, I am sure KUWTJ will be a deciding factor during the year 2000, both in determining which company is purchased and what is paid. OK, I'll bite. What's KUWTJ? Personally, I think the best analogy as to when big pharma will move is one I've mentioned before - the algorithm some cats allegedly use to decide when to cross a road - wait until the desire to cross exceeds the fear of crossing, and then make a dash for it. (The cat algorithm is from a genius-type I once worked with - John McCarthy - head of Stanford A.I. Lab.) Peter
