RMI.NET will provide its branded Warp Wire(SM) DSL service to 86 percent of all households and 92 percent of all businesses in the Salt Lake City area. This includes the communities of Bountiful, Clearfield, Cottonwood, Draper, Holladay, Kaysville, Kearns, Midvale, Murray, Ogden and Provo.

``Until now, consumer choice for DSL service in Salt Lake City has been limited by lack of competition and geographic location. RMI.NET's Warp Wire will offer the greatest coverage area for DSL service in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, as we continue to strive to be the High Speed Access provider of choice for central Utah,' said Douglas H. Hanson, chairman and chief executive officer for RMI.NET. ``We have a superior product and will be the premier option for providing high quality access and e-business solutions.'

RMI.NET announced in September 1999 a plan to provide DSL service to 22 major cities and up to 300 secondary markets, and is currently offering DSL service in the Denver, Phoenix, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago and 20 other major markets. DSL allows for continuous high bandwidth transmission of data and video through existing telephone lines, at speeds of up to 50 to 100 times faster than currently available.

RMI.NET has multiple options for its Warp Wire DSL product in Salt Lake City, all depending on individual customer needs. It can offer guaranteed receiving and sending speeds up to 1.5 megabits per second. RMI.NET operates in Salt Lake City through its Internet Connect division, which it acquired in June 1999. RMI.NET has approximately 4,000 customers, and a sales and operations force of 10 employees in central Utah.
