Hope you can get a chance to jump back in soon. I think 2000 will be a much better year for the patch. Have a safe and happy new year (that goes for everyone who might be reading this!).

Today's news:

Anadarko Completes Three More High Flow Rate Bossier Wells; Continues Remarkably Successful East Texas Production Program

HOUSTON, Dec. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC) today announced three more high flow tests from wells in its successful East Texas Bossier Play.

The three wells are the latest in a series of high flow rate wells from the Bossier Play in Freestone County, where Anadarko has some 70,000 acres under lease. Freestone County lies about mid-way between Houston and Dallas.

Well flow tests just announced are from the:

-- Burgher D-1, which tested 14.7 million cubic feet of gas per day

(Mmcf/d) after being drilled to a depth of 13,250 feet. Flowing

wellhead pressure was 1,500 psi.

-- Lane A-4, which tested 11.1 Mmcf/d after being drilled to a depth of

13,430 feet. Flowing wellhead pressure was 1,300 psi.

-- Burgher A-2, which tested 6 Mmcf/d after being drilled to a depth of

13,540 feet. Flowing wellhead pressure was 1,200 psi.

"These are the latest in a string of very successful wells for us in the Bossier Play," said John N. Seitz, Anadarko President and Chief Operating Officer. "Current production there is more than 150 million cubic feet of gas a day (gross). We are well ahead of the schedule we set earlier this year, and we intend to stay very active in the year 2000."

Over the past three years, Anadarko has completed or spudded 120 wells in the Bossier Play, with only one dry hole. Anadarko now considers the play its newest core area.

With a spud-to-on-stream schedule of only 45 days and an average cost of just over $1 million a well, the Bossier has become one of the more economically attractive programs in Anadarko's portfolio.
