I don't think that there is any mystery here:

1. The market is down.
2. The NASDAQ is especially down.
3. SIGA reported a loss.
4. SIGA had bad news about a bad debt loss, tax problem and failed merger.
5. Revenues were down when all others in the industry are reporting record sales if not always record profits.
6. When a stock drops under $4 or $5 it can't be margined and often accelerates downward.

Maybe the fact that business in the industry is so good will bail them out. I have already heard some others, got a call yesterday from someone who said he was going to buy SIGA at this level because he thout it was cheap.

That's all I know except to tell you business in the industry is very, very good right now and all shops are running full tilt.
