some day people will realize that online trading is the ideal application for the web. what are we going to do once everyone has broadband connections to the net? buy books from Amazon all day? no, you do that once in a while. we'll be trading stocks all day long!, in the US market, in the european market, or in the asian markets, 24 hs a day if we want to. it will be so fun and so exciting. revenues for the top online brokers will explode. imagine all the major world markets interconnected! a global NASDAQ, for US stocks, european stocks, asian stocks, latinamerican stocks... these sort of things are being terribly overlooked. the potential in this space is astounding. on the other hand, i wonder how committed to online trading traditional brokers who are entering this space timidly will really be.
