I don't see anything out there about CDMA data by globalstar satelite. Qualcomm posted a test of new chip transmitting data at 2.4 mbps. If that becomes available with an outdoor modem plugging into your phone line I see the last mile as vertical. (1.4 kliks). I am remote in Alaska. The phone company bought the cable company but doesn't know what to do about it. The electric company brought in fiber optic and doesn't either. Of course there is price and distribution. If the globalstar solution works, world wide sales could be spectacular. Can Airtouch deliver? Anyone have any knowlege about these issues?
