Maybe that's not to his advantage. I mean, there are other actions one can take on a stock, like short it, but I can't imagine that with EMC. Maybe intraday, nah, not even that.
JDN, I've mentioned it before here, but if you crave EMC posts, the Yahoo EMC thread is pretty good. They get an occasional "thread moron" but nothing like some other big cap techs do.
On EMC's strength lately, I think part of it could be that the storage story is really getting out, the cat's out of the bag. I mean, it is that storage is being linked more and more to the needs of the exploding Internet and it's requirements of huge amounts of additional storage every month. This, to me, (connection to the Internet) is what caused Sun to get the huge valuation increase this year. EMC's turn, although we were pretty healthy a year ago.
