>>Siemens Sues Qtera, Alleging Misappropriation Of
Intellectual Property
12/29/99 Siemens Information and Communication Networks Inc.
(Boca Raton, FL), has filed suit against Qtera Corp., and two of Qtera's
founders, Fahri Diner and Xiang-Dong Cao. The suit seeks an injunction
and substantial monetary damages.

"This lawsuit is part of our continuing effort to vigorously protect our
intellectual property rights," says Fred Fromm, president and CEO of
Siemens Information and Communication Networks, Inc.

Following the resignations of Diner and Cao from Siemens in
September 1998, Siemens executives became concerned about the
former employees' use of the Siemens intellectual property, Siemens
reports. In an attempt to resolve the concerns, Siemens says that it
initiated discussions with Qtera, but did not find Qtera's response
sufficient to resolve the issue, and thus filed suit.<<
