Mark and all

Here is some info i gathered on PepsiCo,hope it's useful.Comments
welcome.

Date: April 22, 1997

COMPANY: PEPSICO INC

The 29 Wall Street professionals following PepsiCo Inc give it a weighted consensus ranking or AQO (Average Qualitative Opinion) of 1.10. This value lies above the 1.00 AQO level perceived as necessary for a "Buy" recommendation. Noting that the current AQO of the S&P 500 is at 0.90, the shares' performance, according to analysts, should be stronger than the general market as defined by the S&P 500.

Based on analysts forecasts, PepsiCo Inc's earnings are expected to increase in both this year and next. At this time, Wall Street analysts expect earnings of $1.46 per share in 1997 and earnings of
$1.70 per share in 1998. This points to an increase of 102.8% over last year's earnings of $0.72 per share, and a further increase of 16.4% in 1998. Industry observers expect the S&P 500 will show a
rise in earnings in 1997 of about 6.27% and will increase 6.15% in 1998. From the perspective of these forecasts and taking into account the growth foreseen for the S&P 500, earnings at PepsiCo Inc are expected to grow at a higher rate than that anticipated for the broad market in both 1997 and 1998.

Wall Street's confidence in the earnings forecast is at the top of the scale statistically. The deviation in the estimates that form the consensus is low and any significant variation from expected results
could have adverse price consequences for the shares.
