For any of us "normal" folk who think we really know how to play the markets, just watch what happened to GMST today. The market makers absolutely screwed the world today. The last hour of trading demonstrated the power of the MMs when it is to their advantage to acquire (or withhold)a security needed or desired by the marketplace for other than "fundamental" (supply/demand) reasons. In the last hour the MMs first drive the price down to seventy, pick up all the stop loss action in that range, then start back up before the close to play the balance off. Finally, after hours volume is much larger than normal. Tomorrow could go either way, but I am betting up.
