I watched the interview.

I was left with a much more positive general impression than this writer who seems to have
done an outstanding job of extracting every
negative thought that Laszlo might have had.

Birinyi Says Nasdaq Has Become 'Treacherous'

NEW YORK -- The Nasdaq Stock Market has become "treacherous" and more of a trading environment than an investment environment, said Laszlo Birinyi, president of Birinyi Associates Inc.

Birinyi suggested investors take positions in technology companies such as International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) that make tangible items, Birinyi told CNBC in a Wednesday interview.

"This is not the time to take an initial position in QualComm Inc. (QCOM)," he said.

Birinyi likes Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN), Lucent Technologies Inc. (LU), Electronic Data Systems Corp. (EDS) and America Online Inc. (AOL), because those companies continue to look good.

"The Internet is telling us there is a major sea change in the economy and the world. The markets have not figured out which stocks will survive so (investors) are buying them all," he said.
