My dumbest investment this year was buying the Ultra Bear OTC Pro Fund (USPIX) which moves opposite the NDX AT TWICE THE RATE when NDX was around 2500. My smartest move was covering around NDX 2700 for a 15% loss. If I had held the loss would now be about 60%.

The most basic rule of investing -- NEVER LET LOSSES RUN. ESPECIALLY ON THE SHORT SIDE.
