100, great heart-felt post, and congratulations on your tenacity, which is the one quality that is necessary to succeed not only in the stock market, but in life. I don't have nearly the rags to riches tale that you have, but I also lost almost all of my money on some bad investments, not once, but twice in my life, the most recent only a bit over a year ago. Unlike you, I was a slow learner, having read and studied the gorilla game principles but not sticking to them. It was only a few months ago that I began lurking on this thread and getting some great ideas from the folks here and on related threads about what tech investing is all about. It's one thing to know in your head what to do, it's quite another to practice it. Like you, I turned my fortunes around and have recovered all of my losses plus plenty more, in a very short time. I don't expect to have the same success in 2000 as I had this incredible year, but if I even have one half or one third, I will be very happy. And, if for some reason, things don't turn out well, that will be fine as well, I still believe in the principles of the GG approach to tech investing.
