Tom, I think you made a very wise decision. Avid continues to run up beyond any realistic expectation I can discern, unless there is some inside info going around the institutionals. This pop feels like the ones in 3/96 and 8/96, which were overly optimistic and were beaten back in short order.

Traders must be valuing Avid based on '98 earnings estimates of $0.80, with an annualized growth rate of 20% over the next 5 years. Based on a PE of 20, that would put the stock at around $16.00/share.

Briefing.com says Avid will post its quarterly results tomorrow, April 23 after the close of market.
