To bp and christine and others-The whole conversation is quite interesting especially a couple of days away from the shift into the new century, etc. After I took care of seven people in nine years including witnessing the death of both of my parents-and then having to live with a caretaker myself to take care of me for a year after having been on my death bed I can tell you this for certain. We are not our bodies. We are not our bank account(s) We are not our cars, boats, stocks, homes. We are not our points of views, beliefs, thoughts, feelings, etc. It is all impermanent. Everything parents, children, money, power, relationships, all goes.Nothing remains. This is where the inquiry begins. Be kind,do good,be compassionate. Thanks for letting me get my closing message of the century on this thread.Lovingly,MiriamsSon PS-The real and true legacy of our parents is not them leaving us homes, stocks, etc. All of that is impermanent.Think about it. |
