THIN VOL. & MSFT BEING STABLE IS A BULLISH SIGN; TO RALLY

Msft surged on very strong volume from $ 93 to $ 115 in one week before Christmas. This was done on above average volume meaning a bullish sign.

The price of a stock goes down when there is a lack of bidders. The fact that volume is so light and stock is holding up means that nobody is selling and whoever is buying is bidding on it.

Had Msft sold off on this light volume then, I would have said that it had no support. This is not the case.

The top will be reached when we have strong above average volume and Msft makes a new high intraday and finishes with a slight loss. This means that you have reached the selling resistance. This is not the case at this moment.

Any surge in buying will send Msft over $ 130 in no time. There are relatively no sellers of this stock.

If past history is any guide, prior to the release of Windows 1995 in August of that year, Msft hit it's highest price when it released it's earnings report. If my memory serves me correctly it soared 20 points in the 3 weeks prior to the earnings results.

By applying same reasoning here we get a price of $ 137. We must then add fact of big money on sidelines wanting to enter the market in january 2000 and we could get price of $145 to $150 by then.

I also have a feeling that on earnings day, Msft will annonce a settlement deal with the DOJ. This should kill all skeptics and serve as a thank-you to Msft shareholers.

Good Luck.
