I have experienced the spontaneous "shut down" as well. When combined with the apparent "footprint" the program leaves behind, clogging the memory, which others have alluded to here, it sure seems as though something needs to be tweaked. To the option quote issue (which I don't worry about as I use an outside quote provider) I would add my key ongoing issue with Schwab: missing option symbols. In several months at Schwab I've probably had 24 incidents where I could not place a trade because they had not set up the option symbol. Some were relatively new series, others obviously were not. I've communicated strong concern about this to Schwab reps and they understand, but indicate that a fix is probably several quarters off. Does anyone else find this problem in their trading?
