JDN, OT - Florida and NC Heat and humidity - Many places around the country get oppressive heat and humidity, it actually gets much hotter in Chicago than it does here on the West Coast of FL. The thing that gets me is that it is RELENTLESS, from mid-June to mid-September, it is NEVER cool, even at night. Florida is, weatherwise, a great place to live the other nine months of the year, and the 360 +/- days of sunshine is hard to beat. I agree on Asheville, a great place. And most of the people of North Carolina have a graceful dignity and friendliness that you only seem to find in the real South. John
