to add to the 4-y post...

i have a three year old dell with win95 and a new dell with win98. here are my observations

in win98 there is a setting on the same 'date' dialog that says,

"when a 2 digit year is entered, interpret it as a year between: 1930 and 2029"

imo, that setting will probably take care of the need to change to a 4-y setting.

in win95, however, not only is there a default 2-y setting, but there is no extra "1930 to 2029" setting as in win98.

i think i'll make the adjustment in w95 and leave w98 alone.

thanks for passing that info along.

:)
