I was hoping to buy the stock on the open in the $50 range, but it looks like I will be paying between $80 and $100.

Last trade $72, high 82. QCOM down $10

With all due respect, buying this stock at $80 or higher in such a parabolic move, unless one is an extremely nimble short-term trader (which AMEX trading inhibits) is asking for a buzzcut.
