I think Ghana is pissed about the environmental problems from real miners - not the galamseys (sic) - this could significantly hurt Ashanti (as if they aren't already a mess) and is a pretty strong step for the gov't to take when thier national miner is in trouble.Could be that they are trying to scare the miners into agreeing to clean up or else. none the less - SJD has always been touted as an open pit and this is what the gov't is complaining about. SO be intersting to hear the SJD spin on this. They aren't drilling this yr are they?
