SiC is probably not better for MEMS unless it is a high temp extra rugged application. The stiffness would dictate higher forces which probably infers more power drain. The actual deflections for SiC maybe more limited than for PolySi regardless of the power applied.

I'm not stating these as fact but rather supposition based on fundamental properties of the materials.
