Mark, I could not have said it better than you did in your post. I was planning my future on 40-50% revenues/earnings/stock price increases, but $1000 in next year is irrational exurberance. Now I have had to rethink everything, and have sold 1/3 of my position. This has allowed me to completely pay off my margin account for next year, pay the LT Gains tax, and have enough left over for some other serious, but defensive, investments.

I know most of the old timers on this thread are value oriented. Remember last year when QCOM was trading at 1 X revenue? Paradoxically, I feel obligated to sell some of my favorite investment because it has become overvalued. I almost resent it! Well, I still have 2/3 of my position!
