Re: Reuttgers interview

The most salient point I picked up from the interview was that corporations have been holding back on implementing major e-commerce initiatives pending Y2K. Starting next Monday, every CEO is going to be pushing his/her IT folks to get the ball rolling on deferred projects. That's why growth rates will accelerate going forward. Quite simply, the more e-business the more insatiable becomes the demand for mission-critical data storage and management. We really are in the infancy of the networked economy here.

Resist all temptation to trim "overweighted" EMC positions. If you liked the last five years, you'll love the next five years performance. While I expect MSFT will be the first company to break the $1 trillion market cap barrier, I fully expect EMC to join those ranks by 2005.
