I thought long and hard about the Ignore function. There are/were a couple of folks that seemed to really deserve it.

But, this is, to me, an open forum, a place to express ideas and opinions, and anyone who can log on can play.

Sometimes my thoughts are unacceptable to others. Should they ignore me? If I should ignore someone, how would I know if they had something interesting to say?

Maybe their coherent thoughts come in some sort of random sequence and if I don't read the thread, I may miss a sign of intellect.

Then why do I post - so I can see my thoughts in print and know they are out there for the whole world to see?

No. I want feedback. I want people to try to convince me that I'm wrong. I want even unlikely, inane, irrelevant, irreverent, sassy, and sarcastic feedback. Sometimes I want extrapolation of an idea.

LOL, sometimes I get all I ask for.

Other times, I get ignored.

Just like in real life.

We are all different. Some moreso than others. We all have our voices. Today rational, tomorrow incoherent, next week we may argue the other side just for variety.

That's how I learn . . .
