Anybody that is SHORT 100 shares of C3D on the eve of the split will,(jan 14) on the
day of the split jan 18 (on or
about 15 January 2000) automatically become short 300 shares

You forgot to mention that on Jan. 14 (eve of the split) CDDD will likely be on the delisting list and on Jan. 20, it will hit the pinks ala TMRT and NCDR.

IMHO, these dates are far more important than some contrived split.
