"Is the author saying that 40% of the American public has net worth of an average of $1,000?" Why is that hard to believe? What do you think the net worth of the fellow working in the gas station, at the McDonald's, waiting tables is? How about the homeless folks? People in prison? The bleeding hearts and artist? Children under 18? There are folks with a negative net worth as well you know. There are lots and lots of folks living paycheck to paycheck, and never saving a dime. Of course why they don't just take a credit card advance and buy some B2B stocks on margin and get rich I can't quite understand.... Regards, Barb
