Nice move, Razor. Now if people will just cooperate by usiing this thread for all the personal stuff and use Strictly Drilling( I really don't like that name, think we should change it to "All about energy" or something more inclusive) for stock discussion. As to Slider, I pretty well agree with JimL that he provides valuable insight and research for the rest of us to use as we see fit. Of course, I have never been attacked by Slider so that may influence my thinking. As I stated on the other thread, I think Slider uses his guru status as part of his trading strategy, which is why he is so thin-skinned when anyone disputes anything he posts. I think that is also why he ridicules anyone who tries to hype any stock he is not already hyping. IMHO he really believes what he posts when he posts it and doesn't intentionally try to mislead people into bad stocks, although given my outlook for B2K there aren't any bad energy stocks anyway. He is just a trader who is only looking for a quick bounce on his hypes. I admit to buying some stocks at least partially influenced by his hype, but even though some them are underwater now, I feel very comfortable holding them and really think every position I have in the energy field is at least a double in one year. I am investing here with about a two year time horizon, so I appreciate Slider's fundamental analysis even if he is only using it for trading purposes. Just because we have different trading strategies doesn't make his analysis flawed. Another reason I think some are so upset with Slider is they view "Strictly Drilliing" as a friendly community where everyone becomes friends and shares their thoughts about OSX stocks in a lovefest and then Slider walks in and farts right in public. Then SargeK farts back and JQP and Diana run out screaming and the whole thing turns into a barroom brawl! I don't mean this as condoning Slider's tactics. Just realize he's good at what he does, which is to use his status to enhance his trading profits. Also, realize he will strike like a rattlesnake at anyone or anything that threatens that status, so either be careful or wear heavy boots and keep the anti-venom handy!
