Vince Re <<has anyone seen any other reports of overclocking attempts on .18ers?>>

According to Anandtech.com, 0.18 Athlon are not overclocking as well as the older ones. I personally do not think that the MHz race is as important as it was 6 months ago. The reason is that the top speed bins are so small that even though they are announced there is not enough of them to cause the ASP of lower speed bins to crash. Intel will not be aggressive with their pricing on 650 MHz to 750 MHs simply because they are not making a whole lot of CPU's above that.

What is important is for AMD to keep the ASP's for Athlon high as they increase production, and I think currently they are doing that.

Also just noticed FIC Athlon MB is now on sale (in stock) for only $99.00 with only 10.25 shipping. That is good news IMO.
